About the Village

Since 2001, we are collecting addresses of natives of the village and appealing to them for joining us in our endeavour to renovate this temple. For this purpose, we formed an association in the name of "Narasimha Samudram Narpani Mandram" and enrolling members and under its auspices appeal letters were sent out to mobilize funds for renovation of temples

  

Our Agraharam was further inhabited by families from Kanchipuram , belonging to Srivatsa Gowthram, after Thakkolam battle and were accommodated. They brought holy sand from Kanchi and asper divine anugraha of Kanchi Periyava built Sri Kamatchi Amman Temple on the north bank of river Amaravathi.

Comes under Karur Corporation limits, 5 Kms from Bus/railway stations on the earlier Karur-Trichy Road between Pasupathipalayam-Puliyur

Land mark is Thozhirpettai (Industrial Estate, Senappiratti) and sign boards on either side of the road is available

Kanchi and Singeri Mutts

Guru Peedam of Village Inhabitants:

Inhabitants of Samaveda had strong bonds with Sringeri Acharyals since 1870. For the past 7 years initiated Samashti Biksha Vandanam every year.

Inhabitants of Yajur Vedha too are maintaining strong bondage with the Kanachi Mutt.

It is understood and learned that Madhadipathis from both Mutts have visited our Village after formation and the recent visits since our Mandram formation have been listed below:

Way back Kanchi acharyas visited and one of our village native Mr Viswanathan worked as Manager in Kanchi Mutt
