Senapiratti is a historic Agraharam situated on the banks of the Amaravathi river , established during the reign of Rani Mangammal by Revenue Officer Sri Chennappa Reddy. Today, the village stands as a bastion of Vedic tradition, housing approximately 50 residents across 15 active homes. The Narasimha Samudram Narpani Mandram (NSNM) has been active since 2001, dedicated to mobilizing the global diaspora to renovate our 500-year-old temples and sustain our ancestral roots
The village was originally founded to house Sama Veda pundits from Vriddhachalam, who were granted land for their spiritual strength and scriptural expertise. Following the Battle of Thakkolam, families of the Srivatsa Gotram from Kanchipuram also settled here. Bringing holy sand from Kanchipuram, they established the Sri Kamakshi Amman Temple on the northern bank of the river

Our village is anchored by five major temples, each a landmark of devotion exceeding five centuries in age:
Located within Karur Corporation limits , Senapiratti is 5 km from the main bus and railway stations. Nearby sacred sites include:
Narasimha Sadhan, 218/1, Agraharam, Sanapiratti, Karur, 639 004.

The Agraharam today comprises around 15 active houses who continue the ancient traditions of Vedic study and daily worship. Despite its modest size, Senapiratti stands as a beacon of cultural continuity, echoing the timeless rhythm of Vedas along the banks of the Amaravathi.
